Wednesday, minimal lifting was done, just another 3.2 mile run (in about 26:30)… to say my calves were tight and unhappy after Monday’s experiment would be to understate matters ever so hugely.
With the weather cooperating, it was back to the garage for squat day of 5/3/1 (and, yes, this time I am actually paying attention and following the program, not doing triple volume by accident).
I’m also trying to pay closer attention to pre-, peri-, and post-workout nutrition, if for no other reason than my lunches of late have consisted of either a can of garbanzo beans or a bag of unbuttered microwave popcorn (both of which are jazzed up with some Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning).
