Contra, where 30 lives were damn handy

This was my crack, before discovering "Scorched Earth: The Mother of All Games"

No real thematic tie-in with getting thirty lives or blowing up aliens, but I was just reminiscing about some old-school games I used to play while I lifted this morning. I was also musing about the possibility of moving this blog to my domain, and running WordPress over there, so I can customize it a bit more. Back-burner stuff, really.

15/9/3 – Overhead Press (week 1) & Squats (week 2)

Warmup:

Straight-legged deadlifts: 1×5 @ 135

Sumo deadlifts: 1×10 @ 135

Shrug: 1×15 @ 135

Upright suitcase row: 1×10 @ 45 (each arm)

Overhead squat: 1×5 @ 45

Front squat: 1×5 @ 85 / 1×5 @ 95 (done after the 3rd set of each OHP work set)

One-armed barbell shrug: 1×8 @ 95 (each arm)

Overhead press: 2×10 @ 45

Squat (this took place after the OHP work sets): 1×10 @ 95 / 1×5 @ 135 / 1×5 @ 155

Work Sets:

Overhead press: 3×5 @ 85 / 3×5 @ 95 / 3×5 @ 105 (no bonus reps)

Squat: 3×3 @ 195 / 3×3 @ 215 / 3×3+2 @ 235
