It Goes to Eleven


Monkey’s workout today, because he’s on the road, and has no decent equipment handy (not even a goddamned chinup bar? Seriously? What kind of lame-ass NYC hotel is that?).

I think it was a hit:

I ubstituted nothign for the pullups, and I still hate you.

I love the smell of hatred in the morning. It smells like… victory.

Warmup:

100 Jumping Jacks

3x 1 minute planks

2×25 crunches

Workout:

11 squats / 1 pushup / 3 pullups

10 squats / 2 pushups / 3 pullups

….

1 squat / 11 pushups / 3 pullups

Doing it myself at lunch, I took it up two notches (11 became 12, and 3 became 5). I managed that bit of foolishness in 8:55 and can attest to how much that sucked. The suckage is more or less an increasingly steep curve of horribleness, as follows:

1/10 = 55 total reps (30/50 add’l)

1/11 = 66

1/12 = 78

1/13 = 91

1/14 = 105

1/15 = 120 (45/75 add’l)
