15/9/3 – Bench Press
After spending the afternoon snacking (semi-healthy, semi-not – chips, fresh salsa, ice cream, turkey pepperoni) while watching the finale of the World Cup, I was antsy to get out and lift, especially since the day was overcast and relatively not-hot (mid to upper 80’s, instead of the mid-90’s of the past week).
There’s something to be said about being gung-ho going in.
Bench Press: 1×10 @ 135 / 1×10 @ 95 / 1×5 @ 135 / 1×3 @ 155
Bench Press: 3×5 @ 175 / 3×5 @ 185 / 3×5+2 @ 195 (PR)
Shrug: 5×10 @ 225
Kroc Row: 3×10 @ 70
Time to look at adding the “+” back in for this move, along with the overhead press, I think, to benchmark against the last wave. I’m already looking forward to next set on the bench, since my PR board shows “205: 4.5” and I feel pretty confident about being able to best that.
